FOOD RECOMMENDATIONfor pregnant and lactating cats
In cats, weight gain occurs linearly from the beginning to the end of pregnancy. They will gain up to 38% of their body weight at the end of pregnancy in relation to their initial weight, accumulating fat to meet the high energy needs that occur during lactation. Therefore, our recommendation is that cats have food freely available from the beginning of pregnancy until the end of lactation.
